I totaly agree with everything you wrote about being barefoot, especialy in public. It's a wounderful feeling of freedom to be on the road without shoes, neither on your feet nor in your backpack. It feels great and it looks great to walk barefoot always and everywhere. Wit jeans, shirt and bare feet you're well dressed in every situation. I'm barefoot all year round.

It wasn't very painful (at least I didn't think so), and it was a few years ago so I don't remember how much it cost. ^^

Thank you for your comment!
I am supposed to be on liquid diet before the surgery as well, to decrease the fat around the liver, I think. I don't think it's a problem after the surgery, because then you can't eat as much anyway so... But to do six weeks before, that seems a bit tricky, to keep up the motivation for so long.

Yes please get as much info as you can before going with your Gastric Bypass surgery. The liquids diet is normally for 2-3 weeks after surgery. You have 2 phases of liquids.

Phase 1 Cler liquids for 2 weeks which is basically Clear liquids consist of Jell-O, sugar-free Crystal light, water, and broth

Phase 2 FULL liquids
this includes the same stuff but also Full liquids are foods such as skim milk, thicker low fat soups, skim soy beverages, etc. no sugar, caffeine, or carbonated beverages. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Good luck

Nice to read your story ^^

Yesterday it wasn't that bad of a temperature out so when I and my hubby was on our way home from the store I carried my sandals for a little while and walked on the wet asphalt and grass. It was cool, but not really cold. The gravel they have spread out all over the place was a bit annoying though, especially when you carry 5-6 kilos of groceries. I liked putting the sandals back on the last bit though, as I had still a lot of sand and gravel on my soles. One pebble is horrible to get in your shoes, but a whole "carpet" of gravel, more or less, really feels good instead - imho.

Anyhow, hope to see you barepawed in spring or so!
